CODY
Dear Cody–
Thank you Doctor Gilbert for helping us give Cody a peaceful transition. He was my baby boy for 14 1/2 years and miss him every day! It was an agonizing decision but what was best for him. He will forever be in our hearts. I know he is up with his nana, free of confusion and pain. I wish i could just “smoosh” his face one last time. Cody loved his family and all friends who came to his home. You could not but love him.
Thanks for taking such gentle care of my baby.

JADA
Dear Jada–
Jada came to us as a teeny tiny pup when we lived in Indiana. Jada has moved from Indiana to Wisconsin to Texas to Florida and finally to Hamburg, NY – all for daddy’s jobs. She was so happy when we retired here in Hamburg. She adored her older brother, Rawson who paid her little attention. This did not deter the tiny but mighty Jada. She soon had an equally tiny companion, Bella to play with. They were thick as thieves and always up for a game of teasing mommy and daddy. Jada lost her BFF in 2017 to liver failure. She missed Bell badly but continued to hang in there. She now has the three amigos who are all 6 years old. She’s tolerant of them but mostly sits on our lap watching them play. She’s loyal and so loving. Jada never met a stranger and loves everyone for who they are. Thank you for asking us about her – she is God’s perfect example of what unconditional love looks like. Our hearts miss sweet Jada so much.

WINSTON
Dear Winston–
Even though no amount of time would have been enough, we are so thankful for the 15 years we were lucky to have together. It’s already been a month without you, but we miss you and think about you every day. Our mornings and evenings are quieter without you telling us to hurry up and feed you and your end of the couch is a little colder without you to cuddle with. We miss your smile and your zest for life, even when your body was tired and couldn’t go on anymore. We know you are still with us in spirit, and we will continue to carry all our many memories until we meet again. We will always love you, sweet boy.

Tabitha
Dear Tabitha –
Thanks to Dr. Gilbert’s kindness and patience, my “shadow” Tabitha passed peacefully in my arms after a losing battle with cancer. Tabitha and her sister Samantha were inseparable and I thought they would have many years together. Sadly, that was not to be. But Tabitha stole everyone’s heart with her playfulness and commanding presence. She will be missed by me, her sister and her cat sitters.

Mya
Dearest Little Miss Mya–
It’s been 4 days since we said goodbye, yet it feels like a lifetime ago without your presence. Miso is missing you tremendously and trying to adjust. Thinking of you gives us joy and warms our hearts. We thank you for 12 years of unconditional love, snuggles, demands, and comfort. We were so fortunate to have you in our family. You are forever in our hearts. Rest in peace, baby girl.
Love you,
Mom, Dad, Jada, Carmen and Miso

Sadie

Boyzie
Dear Boyzie –
My sweet Boyzie was the most lovely rat. She survived a tough past but had so much love in that little body. Hope she is hopping around and licking all the fudge with her colony on the rainbow bridge. My shoulder is so empty without her on it. May she rest in bliss.

Daisy
Dear Daisy –
As I sit here on your last morning and I try to imagine our house without you, it is impossible to do so – for over 18 years you have been a part of my daily existence. Bringing you home as a tiny kitten, having you cower from everyone but be Velcro kitty with me (although you’d still act like I was going to hurt you somehow!).
